Nafziger, Eunice E. Yoder, 84, of Hopedale, Tazewell Co., IL died April 23, 2017 at the same place. She was born May 2, 1932 at Grabill, Allen Co., IN to Levi C. and Eva (Yoder) Yoder. On September 30, 1951 at Leo, Allen Co., IN she was married to Lloyd E. Nafziger, who died August 6, 2009.
Surviving are children, Rodney (Miriam) Nafziger; Kent (Arlene) Nafziger; Marla (Kurt) Walker; and Gail (Joe) King; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Arlene Stuckey, Jean Stuckey, and Delores Nafziger.
A son, John Y. Nafziger preceded her in death.
Eunice was a member of Hopedale Mennonite Church where she was active in the Mennonite women's organization and taught children's Sunday School. She also volunteered for love packages ministry, and was active in the local chapter of National Alliance for the mentally ill, and a member of the churches outreach ministries.
She was an avid letter writer sending notes of encouragement and support to people across the United States and around the world. She had the gift of hospitality and hosted countless people in her home. Eunice and her husband, Lloyd, hosted Mennonite Central Committee international trainees in their home over the years.
Memorial services were held April 29, 2017 at Hopedale Mennonite Church, Hopedale, IL with burial Mennonite Cemetery, Hopedale, IL.
Nafziger, Ruth Ann Meck, 86, of Archbold, Fulton Co., OH died January 9, 2017 at Wauseon, Co., OH. She was born June 4, 1930 at Archbold to Marion and Ilva (Kleck) (Roth) Meck. On February 26, 1950 she was married to Dale Nafziger, who survives.
Surviving are children, Steve (Julia) Nafziger of Wauseon, OH; Gary (Andrea) Nafziger of Archbold, OH; Jim (Diana) Nafziger of Cincinnati, OH; and Sue (Bob) Deardurff of Waterville, OH; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Mary (Paul) Hershberger of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
A brother, Richard Roth preceded her in death.
Ruth Ann owned and operated the former Nafziger Ice Cream Company near Archbold for 34 years with her husband; volunteered at Fulton County Health Center and Fairlawn Haven; was an active member of Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold, where she and her husband served as youth sponsors; and was past president of International Ice Cream Retailers Association. She enjoyed gardening.

Nelson, Cheryl L. Yoder

SHIPSHEWANA - Cheryl L. Nelson, 63, died Saturday, May 27, 2017.
She was born on June 19, 1953 in Goshen to Maurice A. and Doris D. (Cummings) Yoder.
On Aug. 11, 1973, she married Jack F. Nelson at Forks Mennonite Church in Middlebury and he survives in Shipshewana.
Also surviving are her mother, Doris D. Yoder; a daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Clay Reyenga; a son, Jeffrey Nelson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kim and Jim Graves and Kelly and Tim Miller; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Martha Yoder and Gary and Dawn Yoder.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, at Shore Church, 7235 W 100 N, Shipshewana. The Rev. Carl Horner will officiate the service.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Shore Cemetery in Shipshewana.
Visitation will be at the church from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Nelson, Dawn Ruth, 65, of Souderton, PA died August 21, 2017 at Harleysville, Montgomery Co., PA. She was born April 13, 1952 at to John and Roma (Jacobs) Ruth. She was married to Paul J. Nelson, who was born April 23, 1951 and survives.
Also surviving are her parents, children, Sarah Nelson, Pete Nelson, Emily Nelson, and Ben Nelson, and two brothers, Jay (and Jane) Ruth and Phil (and Julia) Ruth.

Neuenschwander, Helen L. Heistand, 82, of Lititz, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Walter K. and Stella M. Stern Heistand. She was the wife of the late Jesse Neuenschwander who died in 1999. A homemaker, Helen was a member of White Oak Mennonite Church, Manheim.
Surviving are 10 children, William Schuler of Ephrata, Miriam, wife of David Sensenig of Lititz, Mahlon E., husband of Sharon Nolt Neuenschwander of Manheim, Nelson L., husband of Jane Nolt Neuenschwander of Lititz, Ruby, wife of Andrew Mack of Mercersburg, Martha, wife of Irwin Nolt of Lebanon, Jacob H., husband of Mary Jane Martin Neuenschwander of Manheim, John H., husband of Dorcas Martin Neuenschwander of Manheim, Rachel, wife of Argyl Eby of Manheim and Titus H., husband of Mary Susan Martin Neuenschwander of Lititz; daughter-in-law, Barbara Eberly Schuler of Manheim; 75 grandchildren, 94 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Jean, wife of Ira Herr of Lititz. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, one brother, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at White Oak Mennonite Church, 2456 Newport Road, Manheim on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Neufeld, Helmut, Jr., 87, of Akron, PA died March 25, 2017 at Lititz, Lancaster Co., PA. He was born April 12, 1929 in Germany to Helmut and Trude (Franzen) Neufeld, Sr. On January 12, 1974 he was married to Lila Fast, who survives.
Surviving is a brother, Hans Peter Neufeld.
Two sisters, Elsie Shirk, and Gertrude Habegger preceded him in death.

Newswanger, Amos, Jr., 90, of Providence Place, Pine Grove, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Family was a high priority in his life. He ran his earthly race that was set for him and now entered that glorious city where the roses never fade.
Born on August 31, 1926 in Ephrata, Pa., he was a son of the late Amos and Lydia Reinhart Newswanger.
Before moving to Pine Grove in 1953, Amos had a farm in Stevens, Pa. He continued farming after he moved to Pine Grove until 1970. In 1965 he co-founded and was owner of Newhurst, Inc., Pine Grove. He loved driving school buses and motor coaches. He drove in 46 states and several Canadian Provinces before retiring in 2009.
He was generous to his church and community. He was a founding member of the Roedersville Mennonite Church, Pine Grove.
Amos was an avid collector of antique Allis Chalmers tractors, and he loved to attend and participate in tractor pull competitions.
Preceding him in death were four brothers, Walter, Paul, Raymond and Lester Newswanger; two sisters, Elsie Martin and Edith Seibel.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Grace Arlene Gehman Newswanger; four sons, Barry and wife Kathie Newswanger, Jerry Newswanger, Clair and wife Debra Newswanger, all of Pine Grove, Fred and wife Megan Newswanger of Hyde Park, N.Y.; a daughter, Linda and husband Carl Dreidger of Willow Street, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Ginder of Denver, Pa.; a brother, Robert Newswanger of Farmersville, Pa., nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove with Pastor Daryl Martin officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M and Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the Church. Interment will follow in the Roedersville Mennonite Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Newswanger, Mary S. Snyder, 85, of 322 N. Hoover Ave., New Holland, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. Her husband, Aaron N. Newswanger, survives.
Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late J. Eby and Mary (Shirk) Snyder.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Raymond married to Lucy Newswanger, Shippensburg; daughter Anna Mary married to Charles Rozewicz, Mt. Vernon, OH; son Wilmer married to Arlene Newswanger, Newville; son Alvin married to Arlene Newswanger, New Holland; daughter-in-law Esther Newswanger, Curtiss, WI; daughter Marian married to Eugene Zimmerman, Rushville, NY; 44 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren; six siblings: Aaron Snyder, Lena Martin, Katie Weaver, Paul Snyder, Esther Zimmerman and Mabel Horning.
She was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Newswanger, grandson Marvin Newswanger, great-grandson Matthew Sensenig, sisters Anna Zimmerman and Edna Shirk, and a brother Norman Snyder.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 9 a.m. at her late home with further services at 9:30 a.m. at New Holland Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. GOSHEN - LeRoy Nisley, 80, of Goshen, died at 1:21 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at his residence.
His death was unexpected but due to natural causes. He was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Goshen, to Perry and Betsie (Bontrager) Nisley.
On Sept. 11, 1958, in Elkhart County, he married Mary Ellen Lehman; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are three daughters, Miriam (Edwin) Miller of Middlebury, Martha (Wilbur) Bontrager of Gosport, Mary Kathryn (Ernest) Miller of Middlebury; five sons, Wilbur (Waneta) Nisley, Gerald (Marilyn) Nisley, John (Wanda) Nisley, Steve (Eldora) Nisley and David (Suetta) Nisley, all of Goshen; 54 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lillian (Howard) Miller of Goshen, Edna (Daniel) Yoder and Irma (Perry) Mast, both of Middlebury; three brothers, Eldon (Katie) Nisley of Kalona, Iowa, Glen (LeAnna) Nisley and Perry (Alma) Nisley Jr., both of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a stillborn brother, Gerald Nisley.
He was a senior bishop of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be all day Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the family’s residence, 62764 C.R. 35, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, also at the family’s residence. Services will be conducted by the home ministers.
Burial will be in Nisley Cemetery, Goshen.

Nisly, Wendell William, 70, of Kalona, IA died June 22, 2017 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA. He was born December 2, 1946 at Washington, Washington Co., IA to William and Edith (Swartzendruber) Nisly. On July 21, 1968 at Kalona, Washington Co., IA he was married to Muriel Miller, who survives.
Surviving are daughter, Brigette (Adam) Ingersoll, Iowa City, IA; and son, Shane Nisly of Kalona, IA; four grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings, Rachel (Alvin) Kemp of Kalona; Sheldon (Miriam) Nisly of Kalona; Weldon (Margaret) Nisly of Seattle, Washington; Jenelle (Dwight) Bender of Kalona; Marcus (Sandra) Nisly of Elkhart, IN; Hope Nisly (Doug Kliewer) of Reedley, CA; and Ross (Lynn) Nisly of Hutchinson, KS.

Nissley, Lois S. Stauffer, 84, formerly of Elizabethtown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz. Born Tuesday, April 18, 1933 in Manheim Township, she was the daughter of the late Norman E. and Grace C. (Stehman) Stauffer. She was married to Harold M. Nissley and together they celebrated 58 years of marriage on November 1, 2016.
Lois graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 1951. Prior to marriage, she worked as a nurse's aide and was also a receptionist in a doctor's office. Following her marriage, Lois was homemaker for most of her life and also helped her husband on their farm for over 40 years. She enjoyed farm life especially working on the tractor and helping to milk. She was a charter member of Farm Women of Dauphin County, Chapter #16 for many years. She was also a member of Locust Lane Chapel, Harrisburg and after moving to Landis Homes Retirement Community, she and Harold attended White Oak Church of the Brethren, Manheim.
Lois and Harold enjoyed traveling including trips to Europe as well as visiting nieces, nephews and cousins across the U.S. and British Columbia. Camping was also a favorite of her and Harold as well as spending the month of February in Florida.
In addition to her husband of nearly 59 years, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as her extended family and caring friends. The last of four siblings, Lois was preceded in death by Melvin Stauffer, Arlene Longenecker and Harold Stauffer.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery, 6279 Main Street, East Petersburg, PA 17520. Noftsier, Alice Jeanette Heans, 88, of Castorland, Lewis Co., NY died August 25, 2017 at the same place. She was born September 21, 1928 at Staten Island, NY to Robert and Isabele (Hayward) Heans. On August 11, 1946 at Brooklyn, NY she was married to Romeyn V. Noftsier, who died January 3, 1997.
Surviving are children, Robert R. "Chic" Noftsier; Romeyn R. (Deborah) Noftsier; and Roberta I. (Terry) Blair; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Isabelle E. Smith.
A sister, Roberta B. Bush preceded her in death.
She was an ardent traveler.

Nofziger, Mattie Mae Miller, 95, of Archbold, Fulton Co., Ohio died December 5, 2017 at Eureka, Woodford, IL. She was born October 28, 1922 at Archbold to Jonas and Matilda (Hershberger) Miller. On March 19, 1950 at Archbold she was married to Harold M. Nofziger, who died October 12, 2004.
Surviving are children, Brenda (Dan) Sensenig, Karen (J Mark) Beck, Rachel (Steve) Sauder, Jeanne (Ron) Sears, Jim (Teresa) Nofziger, Mary (Roger) Kennell, and John (Kathy) Nofziger; 24
grandchildren and spouses, 36 great-grandchildren; brother, Floyd (Fritz) Miller, sister-in-law, Pauline Coon.

Nolt, Barbara Z. Sensenig, 84, of New Holland, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at her home after a brief illness.
Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Elam W. and Lizzie (Zimmerman) Sensenig. She would have been married 65 years on Jan. 22 to John M. Nolt.
Barbara was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 15 children, Alta, wife of David Fox of Ephrata, Laura, wife of Amos Horning, Marvin, husband of Anna (Burkholder) Nolt, Lavina Nolt, and Bertha Nolt all of New Holland, Etta, wife of Luke Martin of Reinholds, Alma, wife of Clarence Fox of East Earl, Barbara, wife of Edwin Zimmerman of Narvon, Edna, wife of David Zimmerman, Lucinda, wife of Eugene Newswanger, and Edward, husband of Ada Mae (Zimmerman) Nolt all of Dundee, NY, Daniel, husband of Vera (Leid) Nolt of Greenwood, WI, Arlene, wife of Wilmer Newswanger of Newville, Noah, husband of Ella (Zimmerman) Nolt of Mifflinburg, and Erma, wife of Alvin Zimmerman of Lewisburg; 115 grandchildren; 207 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary, wife of Christian Weaver of Leola, and Elizabeth, wife of the late Adam Martin of Bethel.
Preceding her in death is one grandson; three great-grandsons; seven brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 29 at 8:45 am at the late home with further services at 9:30 am at New Holland Old Order Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Nolt, Curtis E., 61, of 14 Dubson Circle, Denver went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Fairmount Homes.
Born in Bowmansville, he was the son of Ella (Shirk) Nolt, Ephrata, and the late Elmer N. Nolt.
Curt worked at Conestoga Wood Specialties for 43 years. He also bowled at the former Blue Ball Lanes for over 40 years and the Lancaster County Travel League as well as other leagues. Curt enjoyed the friendly competition with opponents and teammates. He was also an avid hunter.
He was a member of Pine Grove Church where he served as head usher and as a sound technician.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers: John married to Anne (Good) Nolt, Reinholds and Arden married to Teresa (Gehman) Nolt, East Earl; and a niece and three nephews: Clifton J. married to Jessica Nolt, Katlin E. Nolt, Jason A. Nolt, and Adam E. married to Brittany Nolt. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Andrew Nolt.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Rd., Bowmansville with Pastor Jonathan Yoder officiating. Nolt, Denise Kaye Headdings, 45, of Denver, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was the loving wife of Brian D. Nolt. They were married on June 23, 2012. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Marvin E. Headdings, Jr. and Elsie Fahnestock Headdings of Halifax.
Denise was a case worker for Bethanna Foster Care and Adoption of Lancaster. A talented basketball player during her basketball career at Halifax High School and at Cedarville University in Ohio, she scored 1204 points for Halifax. A member of Stumptown Mennonite Church, she enjoyed traveling, especially on mission trips, the outdoors, mountain biking and hiking. She loved the company of her family especially her nieces and nephews, and her dog Koya.
Known as Dee-Dee to her family, she will also be lovingly missed by: her siblings, Marvin Headdings III married to Diane of Fleetwood, Brian Headdings married to Nancy of Wasilla, AK, Karen married to Bob Osenbach of Halifax; 19 nieces and nephews; parents-in-law, M. Luke and Dorothy M. Nolt, Leola; brother-in-law, Gary Nolt; sister-in-law, Janell married to Samuel Sauder, both of Harrisonburg, VA; two nieces.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Road, Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505. Interment: the adjoining cemetery. Nolt, Galen Zimmerman, 3, son of Cleason and Lisa Zimmerman Nolt of Myerstown, PA, died on December 1, 2017 from injuries sustained in a farming accident at home. He was born in Bethel Township, Lebanon County on July 16, 2014.
Surviving in addition to his parents are siblings, Anita, Eldon, Delmar, Ruthann, Justin, Marvin, Vernon, Kendall and Bethany Nolt. Nolt, Marian R. Snavely, 77, of Manheim, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 very unexpectedly at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. She was the faithful wife of Donald E. Nolt and she passed away on their 59th wedding anniversary.
Born on November 5, 1939 in Elizabeth Township; she was the daughter of the late J. Warren and Marie Eshleman Snavely. Marian was a member of the White Oak Mennonite Church, Manheim, where her husband served as minister and bishop for many years.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are five children: Caroline wife of Andrew Rudolph of Bluford, IL, Ronald husband of Denise Nolt of Fortuna, MO, Joyce at home, Kevin husband of Doris Kauffman Nolt of Manheim, Philip husband of Darlene Weaver Nolt of Manheim, 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Joanne wife of Eugene Kreiser of Manheim, Linda wife of the late Donald Keener of Elizabethtown, and a brother, Herbert Snavely of Lititz. Preceding her in death are two grandsons: Linford and LaRay Nolt, and an infant sister.

Nolt, Maurice B. "Mike", 94, of Lampeter and more recently of United Zion in Lititz went peacefully home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday evening August 5, 2017. For more than 70 years Mike was the loving husband of Millie (Stauffer) Nolt who survives him. They were united in marriage in Mount Joy on the 22nd of February, 1947. Mike's first love was always for his Lord followed by his love for his wife, Millie, and family and then others. He lived his life that way each day and it showed.
Mike was born in West Earl Township on August 16, 1922 and was a son of the late Leroy and Suetta Burkhart Nolt. He is survived by three sons; Ron Nolt and wife Marcia of Lancaster, Dr. Barry Nolt and wife Judy of Bloomsburg, and Dr. Jeffrey Nolt and wife Terri of Coudersport. The seven joys of his and Millie's life were their grandchildren; Tammi, Natalie, Jason, Michael, Rebekah, Jeremy, and Katie (Peachey). Also surviving are sisters Norma Sherman and husband Terry of Lancaster, Marian Frick and husband Terry of Elkhart, Indiana, a brother Carl Frey and wife Pat of Lancaster and a stepbrother Paul Frey and wife Daisy of Queens, NY. He was predeceased by a brother Chester Nolt and stepbrothers Lloyd and Elvin Frey.
A veteran of World War II he served his country in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. A plasterer by trade he co-founded Nolt & Nolt, Inc. in 1975 and led the company's field operations until his retirement. His vision and leadership were responsible for developing the prefab panel division for which Nolt & Nolt was well known. He was always eager to share his wealth of experience in construction with his sons and many others as he undertook numerous building projects because he truly wanted to help others. His most unique trait was far and away his uncanny ability to make new friends wherever life happened to take him. His contagious friendly nature was evident and appreciated by all.
Mike was a longtime member of Neffsville Mennonite Church serving the Lord as usher, audio recorder and as a member of the Neffsville men's quartet. He was a member of the Lampeter Fire Company serving as President, Assistant Fire Chief, Chauffeur and Fire Police. A lifetime hunter and outdoorsman he especially enjoyed trips to the family cabin in Potter County. Forever a fervent Phillies and Eagles fan he followed them faithfully. Tinkering in his shop and concocting inventions filled a lot of retirement hours for nine months of the year. But then came winter and snow. Very few people enjoy snowmobiling the way Mike did. Canada, Maine, Michigan and Potter County were but a few places where he laid down miles of tracks. If snow was on the ground he was there. To describe him as passionate about his snowmobiling was to understate his love for it. He is truly loved and will be missed by all.
Mike's family wishes to thank the staff of United Zion for the professional care and love they gave to our dad during his stay with them. He very much enjoyed the many new friends he made during his time in your care.

Nolt, Rhoda H. Hershey, 84, formerly of Lancaster, died peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Landis Homes where she had been a resident. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Nolt who died February 10, 2005. Born in Paradise, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Esther Burkhart Hershey.
A homemaker, Rhoda was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church where she served on the church decorating committee, and was a member of the Christian Service Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Farm Women Society and served on the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mennonite Home.
Rhoda enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, going to their mountain cabin and the beach, especially Stone Harbor. An avid bowler, she enjoyed bowling on several Lancaster County leagues at Rocky Springs, Leola, and Garden Spot Lanes.
Surviving her are four children, Joseph E. (Julia Hess) Nolt, Jr. of Lancaster, Donald K. (Tamara Nettke) Nolt of Lancaster, David K. Nolt and his companion Megan Weakly of Lone Tree, CO, Julie G. (Alan) Dice of Lititz; 7 grandchildren, Jodi Trauger, Janelle Nolt, Rhiannon Nolt, Gabrielle Nolt, Domenic Godshall, David Dice, Elana Dice; 4 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Allyssia, Austin, Tyler; 2 sisters, twin sister Ruth (Roy) Book of Ronks, Mary (John) Darras of Leola; 3 brothers, John (Carolyn) Hershey of Quarryville, Isaac (Betty) Hershey, Jr. of AZ, and Gerald (Cherry) Hershey of NC.
Rhoda was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Evelyn Rohrer and Miriam Herr; and a son-in-law Loren Godshall.

Nolt, Rhoda J. Kolb, 70, of Stevens, went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on Monday, August 14, 2017 at her home.
Born in Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Ellen (Eck) Kolb. She was married 43 years on April 27 to Marvin M. Nolt.
Rhoda worked as a homemaker, an LPN at Phoenixville Hospital and a Doctor's office in Ephrata, and as a Home Economics Teacher at Hinkletown Mennonite School and Faith Mennonite School.
She was a member of Red Run Mennonite Church and enjoyed sewing as well as spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Marlin, married to Shannon (Wetzel) Nolt of East Earl, Jennifer, married to Daryl Weaver of Ephrata, and Wesley, married to Renae (Weaver) Nolt of Reinholds; 8 grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Jonathan, married to Esther Kolb of Royersford, and Nathan, married to Sue Kolb of Benton.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 18 at 11 am at Red Run Mennonite Church with J. Carl Sensenig, Mel Weaver, and Kevin Weaver officiating. GOSHEN - Doris Jean Nunemaker, 88, of Goshen, died at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1929, in Elkhart County, to Charles O. and Goldie (Weldy) Wenger.
She married John Nunemaker on Aug. 28, 1948.
Surviving are herhusband, John of Goshen; daughter Connie (Mark) Haarer of Goshen; sons Dale (Edna) Nunemaker of Goshen, Robert (Gwen) Nunemaker of Goshen and Brian (Nancy) Nunemaker of Coldwater, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings Helen Alexander of Banning, California, Vada Blosser of Wakarusa, David (Marlene) Wenger of Elkhart, Kenneth (Pat) Wenger of Osceola, Phyllis (Larry) Stauffer of Goshen and Larry (Terry) Wenger of Surprise, Arizona; sisters-in-law Wilma Wenger of Goshen and Carolyn Reum of Granger; and a brother-in-law, Merrill Yoder of Wakarusa.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter Sandra Garber; two grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings Fay Yoder, Myrtle Kehr, Leota Yoder, Lester Wenger and Charles “Chuck” Wenger.
Doris was secretary/owner of Nunemaker Fertilizer that she operated with her husband.
She was a member of Holdeman Mennonite Church and enjoyed hunting and quilting.

Nunemaker, Marion Grace Eigsti, 97, of Sterling, Whiteside Co., IL died May 9, 2017 at the same place. She was born June 6, 1919 at Buda, Bureau Co., IL to William and Anna (Hartzler) Eigsti. On June 8, 1947 at Buda, IL she was married to Weldon Owen Nunemaker, who was born November 6, 1914 and died June 5, 2001.
Surviving are children, Carol (Ivan) Shank and Dale (Barbara) Nunemaker; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Walter Eigsti, Howard Eigsti, and Joseph Eigsti preceded her in death.

Nussbaum, Bessie Irene Lehman, 88, of Kidron, Wayne Co., OH died November 29, 2017 at the same place.
She was born August 14, 1929 at Kidron to Silas C. and Bertha (Nussbaum) Lehman. Silas was born August 7, 1895 and died May 10, 1986. Bertha was born March 3, 1892 and died July 8, 1969.
On March 23, 1951 at Kidron she was married to Willis L. Nussbaum, who was born June 27, 1926 and died May 29, 1996.
Surviving are children, Delo (Steve) Gerber; Deanie Nussbaum; Grace (Del) Miller; Goldie (Steve) Yoder all of Kidron; Glenda (Robert) Masters of Mt. Eaton; and JoAnn (Charles) Martin of Goshen, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Her siblings, Sylvan Lehman, Idella May Lehman, Carrie Anna Lehman Neuenschwander, and Mary Lehman preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held December 2, 2017 at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, Kidron, OH with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Oberholtzer, Noah M., 86, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born in East Earl Twp. to the late Adam L. and Barbara W. (Martin) Oberholtzer. He was the husband of Verna N. (Hoover) Oberholtzer. His first wife, Vera M. (Zimmerman) Oberholtzer passed away in 2005.
He was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference and was a retired farmer.

(Horst) Oberholtzer of Lititz, Adam M., husband of Ella G. (Martin) Oberholtzer of East Earl, Leroy M., husband of Shirley A. (Longenecker) Oberholtzer of Manheim and a sister, Barbara M. Kathleen J. (Martin) Ortiz, 76, Goshen, formerly of Puerto Rico, died 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. She was born November 3, 1940 in Millersburg to Ralph and Mary (Grabill) Martin. She married Enrique Ortiz on November 14, 1964.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Enrique Oritz, Goshen, 2 brothers, Ronald (Elizabeth) Martin, Wooster, Ohio and Richard Martin, Goshen, and one sister, Norma Martin, Goshen. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Bea Martin.
Kathleen worked as an accountant at Miles Lab. She then moved to Puerto Rico and lived there for 48 years while working as an accountant at Mennonite General Hospital in Aibonito and as a bookkeeper at Academia Mennonita Betania. She loved crocheting and young children. She was a foster mom to 3 children. Kathleen was a friend to everyone and always had a ready smile. She had a laugh everyone loved. She was a loving pastor's wife for 53 years and was a supporting wife. She worked with the ladies in the Mennonite Church. She was a volunteer at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. The last 15 years she has spent being her husband's caretaker. Kathleen was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service Saturday, February 4, 2017 all at North Goshen Mennonite Church, 501 N. 8th St., Goshen. Pastor Mark Schloneger will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to North Goshen Mennonite Church to help with funeral expenses.
Otto, John Henry
John Henry Otto died at his Champaign, Illinois home on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the age of 71.
John is survived by his wife, Rosalee Maust Otto; son Jeremy Otto (Bomina Cha) of Champaign; son Christopher Otto (Emily DuFour) and grandsons, Obed and Wallace Otto, of New York, NY; and siblings Wilmer Otto of Arcola; Jo Ann Borntrager of Louisville, KY; Dannie Otto of Hiroshima, Japan; Louise Otto Hostetter of Harrisonburg, VA; Harold Otto of Vienna, Austria; Mark Otto of Muscoda, WI; and Milton Otto, Jr. of Urbana.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Lucy (Diener) Otto, and a brother, Alva Eugene Otto, all of Arcola.
John was born on August 22, 1946, in Mattoon. He began his education as an Amish boy in the one-room Liberty School south of Arthur. John’s parents eventually left the Amish church, which allowed him to attend Arcola public schools and sharpen his writing skills under the demanding and eagle-eyed Ms. Harrington.
After performing alternative service as a conscientious objector to war, John attended Eastern Mennonite College, where he was editor of the Weather Vane, the student newspaper. On this conservative campus, John did his best to encourage the Mennonite Church to live up to its historic ideals by helping organize opposition to the war and penning editorials supporting young Mennonite men who chose to resist the draft and go to prison rather than accept conscientious objector status, an action that would have resulted in someone else being sent to fight in their stead. While John did not burn his draft card, he felt that Mennonite institutions had an obligation to support all those who were taking a moral stand.
John’s skill as a college newspaper editor landed him a job as a reporter for the Flint (MI) Journal, covering city hall and the courthouse. Observing attorneys plying their craft, John came to the conclusion that he could do their job—and probably do it pretty well. John also noticed that pretty good attorneys were paid a lot better than pretty good journalists.
In 1977, John graduated from the University of Michigan Law School with a Juris Doctor degree. After practicing law for several years in Michigan, John moved to Champaign and joined the firm of Zimmerly, Gadau, Selin & Otto, where he practiced law until he retired in 2011.
As an attorney, John worked in general practice with a focus on civil rights and employment law. He loved to represent the little guy. John won numerous lawsuits against the University of Illinois and other large institutions on behalf of clients who other attorneys had turned away. He never threatened a lawsuit he wasn’t prepared to file, and never filed a lawsuit he didn’t believe he could win.
John’s clients valued his frank (sometimes blunt) advice. Some of his best friends and most loyal clients were persons he had previously sued. As one client (and former adversary) put it, “I want to make sure that, the next time I get sued, you’re on my side of the table, not across from me.”
In recent years, John often expressed how lucky he was. As a lifelong bookworm, John felt especially fortunate to have met Rosalee, who shared his love of reading. The two were married on August 14, 1971, in Bay Port, MI. Their travels took them across North America and to Europe and Asia.
John and Rosalee raised two fine sons: Jeremy, who works in retail management, and Christopher, a violinist with the JACK Quartet. They are proud that their sons married two outstanding women, Bomina and Emily.
John and Rosalee are also very proud of their grandsons, Obed and Wally. John often said, “I know that I am biased as a grandparent, but I think even an objective observer would have to admit that Obed and Wally are cuter than other babies. They just are.” Judging from the number of strangers who stop Chris and Emily to admire their sons, perhaps John was right.
Since 2005, John’s skill as a writer found an outlet in his blog, “A Crockhead Abroad: A Sardonic Commentary from a Former Amish Boy Who Is Now an Aging Skeptic.” One of his final posts illustrates the thoughtful reflection and good humor he shared to the end of his life:
“Part of the joy has been, and will continue to be, re-establishing deeper and better communication with Rosalee, my children, my siblings, and my friends. Some of them, maybe not as many as I would like to think, get tired of my saying I don't deserve all of this love and support. I am trying to realize that deserving has nothing to do with anything good or bad. I did nothing to deserve deadly brain cancer; I did nothing to deserve all the wonders of my life. And I’m glad I’m not going to be punished for not being more perfect.”

GOSHEN - Pauline May Otto, of Goshen, formerly of Nappanee, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at the great age of 97.
She was born March 24, 1920, to John K. and Martha Miller.
Pauline was a lifetime Nappanee area resident.
On Oct. 15, 1938, she married Andrew Otto at North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee. He preceded her in death Oct. 4, 2011.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Judy) Otto, Verna Jean, Judy (Cecil) Tucker and Steven (Lynise) Otto; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andy Otto; parents; sisters, Geneva and Dorothy; and brothers, Howard, Charles and Don.
Family and friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service, all at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.

GOSHEN - Judith Ann Peachey, 22, died on Friday, March 17.
She was born Jan. 13, 1995, in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, to Abram and Saloma (Peachey) Peachey.
Survivors are five sisters, Sarah Peachey, Rebecca Peachey, Rosanna Peachey, Martha Peachey and Joyce Peachey; three brothers, Omar Peachey, Ammon Peachey and Wilmer Peachey; grandparents, Omar and Gertie Peachey and Ammon and Sarah Peachey.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hettie Peachey.
Visitation will be from 2- 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, at Northern Indiana Congregation Church of God in Christ Mennonite, 60536 CR 113 Elkhart. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, also at the church. Services will be conducted by ministers Douglas Salsbury and Gordon Holdeman. Burial will be in church cemetery.
Pellman, Hubert Ray, 98, of Harrisonburg, VA died March 16, 2017 at VMRC, Harrisonburg, VA. He was born November 29, 1918 in Snyder Co., PA to LeRoy and Elizabeth Pellman. On June 11, 1941 he was married to Mildred Kaufman, who was born December 13, 1917 and survives.
Surviving are children, Don Pellman of Franklin, VT; and Carol (and Robert) Pellman Mishler of Singers Glen, VA; five grandchildren, and siblings, William Pellman; Charles Pellman; Ferne Pellman; and Miriam Pellman Maust.
A brother, Richard Pellman, and two sisters, Ellen Pellman Hartman and Freda Pellman Redekop, preceded him in death.
Hubert was an English professor at EMU from 1941-43 and 1947-84, founder of the Hubert R. Pellman and Mildred Pellman Literature Scholarship fund- EMU; an ordained minister in 1953; and pastor at Mt. Vernon Mennonite Church, Grottoes, VA until 1970.
Memorial services were held April 22, 2017 at Park View Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg.
Pellman, Mildred Kauffman passed away on Nov. 11, 2017, at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, Va., just 32 days before her 100th birthday. She was born in a snowstorm on a farm near Landisville, Pa., on Dec. 13, 1917. Her life was devoted to her family and to making life better for countless people. "How are you," was her frequent greeting, and the emphasis on the "are" meant she really wanted to know the truth, and that she would be a sympathetic listener.
Much of Mildred's life was spent in the Park View community around Eastern Mennonite School as it became a college and then university. She graduated from Eastern Mennonite School in 1935 and from the Bible School there in 1937. She and the university both celebrated 100 years of life in 2017. Mildred's husband, Hubert Pellman, was a professor of English literature at Eastern Mennonite for 40 years until his retirement in 1984. She was a part of many activities at the school and worked in the library for 16 years.
Mildred and Hubert celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in 2016. They were a very close and loving couple until Hubert's death on March 16, 2017. A wedding song whose words were written by Mildred, which was popular for some time at other weddings as well, sums up their combined life: "Two Hearts Are Joined." They worked together in service for church communities throughout their lives, including a long period of time when Hubert was pastor at Mount Vernon Mennonite Church near Grottoes, Va.
Mildred and Hubert experienced the wider world in two sabbatical years, one in Santa Barbara, Calif., and the other in Sapporo, Japan, where they made lifelong friends, and they traveled in Europe. Mildred also constantly expanded her horizons in her reading of thousands of books throughout her lifetime. She herself wrote well-crafted poems when she was in school, which were full of religious emotion; and she always could choose the right words to get straight to the essence of a person or situation.
Once when asked the secret of her long life, Mildred reflected a moment and then said, "Well, I am very patient," and family members all smiled when they heard this, recognizing this as one of the keys to her personality. However, she was not passive. Central to her being was an experience she had in midlife, in which she rather suddenly came to realize that "God is a God of love, not wrath." This is the one thing she wanted to be sure would be said at her memorial service. And she radiated this love in her relationships with other people. Her love could fill a room and open hearts. She was a blessing to many.
She was especially close to her grandchildren, who treasure their memories of Grandma and her constant love for and acceptance of them.
Mildred is survived by two children: Donald Pellman and wife, Manon Larin-Pellman, of Franklin, Vt., and Carol Pellman Mishler and husband, Robert Mishler, of Singers Glen, Va. She has five grandchildren: Nathaniel Pellman, Seattle, Wash., Genevieve Pellman Hansen, Roxbury, Vt., Stefan Pellman, London, Ontario, Anne Elizabeth Mishler Springer, Akron, Ohio, and Mary Kathryn (Katie) Mishler, Dublin, Ireland. She was predeceased by her sister, Beatrice Bear, formerly of East Petersburg, Pa. Ever since she met Hubert 80 years ago, she was close to his siblings and their spouses: Richard (deceased) and Betty Pellman, William and Ruth (deceased) Pellman, Ellen (deceased) and Dwight Hartman, Freda (deceased) and Calvin Redekop, Ferne Pellman, Charles and Anna Mae Pellman, and Miriam and Wilbur (deceased) Maust. "Aunt Millie" was also much loved, and is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
A memorial service will be held at Park View Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg, Va., on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 2 p.m. until 3. Burial at Weaver's Mennonite Cemetery will be private.

Pellman, Mildred Kauffman, 99, of Harrisonburg, VA died November 11, 2017 at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Center, Harrisonburg, VA. She was born December 13, 1917 at Landisville, PA. On June 11, 1941 she was married to Hubert Ray Pellman, who was born November 29, 1918 and died March 16 2017.
Surviving are children, Don (Manon) Pellman, of Franklin, VT; and Carol Pellman (Robert) Mishler, of Singers Glen, VA; five grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

Surviving are son Eric and wife Kelly Peters; daughter Trisha French, and husband William French; four grandchildren, and two sisters, LaRuth Kramer and spouse Wallace; and Marilyn Bell.

John R. Petersheim, 89, of Kinzers, passed away March 26, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the husband of Mary B. (Stoltzfoos) Petersheim, 89, who passed away March 25, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. After 66 years together they succumbed to the flu and pneumonia.
John was born November 28, 1927 in Gordonville to the late John and Mattie (Riehl) Petersheim.
Mary was born April 12, 1927 in Gordonville to the late Leroy and Fannie (Blank) Stoltzfoos. They were both members of Pequea Amish-Mennonite Church.
They are survived by: one son, Melvin husband of Amanda (Schlabach) Petersheim, Gordonville; three daughters, Nancy, Kinzers, Sue wife of Reuben Smucker, Afton, TN, and Sara wife of Abner Fisher, Kinzers; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. John has one surviving sister-in-law, Rebecca (King) Petersheim, Blain. Mary is also survived by: a brother, Levi husband of Hannah Stoltzfoos, Christiana; three sisters, Annie widow of Samuel Zook, Paradise, Naomi wife of Leroy Stoltzfus, Rebecca wife of Amos Stoltzfus, both of Gap; a sister-in-law, Emma widow of David Stoltzfoos, Gap; two brothers-in-law, Samuel husband of Sylvia Stoltzfus, Lancaster, Elam Riehl of Gap.
They are preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara (Zook) Petersheim, and 2 infant grandsons. John is preceded in death by: 3 brothers, Enos, Isaac and Daniel; a sister, Emma Petersheim. Mary is preceded in death by: one brother, David Stoltzfoos; three sisters, Hannah Smucker, Susie Stoltzfus, and Katie Riehl; a brother-in-law, Samuel Smucker.
Their funeral services will be held at Pequea Amish-Mennonite Church, 115 Blank Rd., Narvon, PA on Friday, March 31st at 10 AM. Petersheim, Judy Mae Hochstetler, 70, of Arthur passed away at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 8, at the Pleasant View Church. Howard Kuhns will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery. Pletcher, Ronald R., 63, Goshen, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at St. Joe Medical Center, Mishawaka, due to complications from an infection. He was born June 23, 1954 in Elkhart County to Ephraim & Berdene (Harter) Pletcher. He married Susan F. (Yoder) Pletcher on April 9, 1977.
Surviving are his wife, Susan, Goshen, children, Robert (Marlys) Pletcher, Middlebury, Lisa Pletcher, Wanda Pletcher, Jonathon Pletcher, all of Goshen, Sharon Pletcher, Pennsylvania, Josiah Pletcher, Goshen, a foster son, Tony (Cachael) Dunaway, Elkhart, 6 grandchildren and at least 54 other foster children that were part of his life, siblings, Stanley (Linda) Pletcher, New Paris, Roger (Lynn) Pletcher, Elkhart, Keith (Marian) Pletcher, Middlebury, Karen (Ken) Winklepleck, Burr Oak, Michigan, Dennis Pletcher, Wakarusa and his mother-in-law, Frances Yoder, Goshen.

At age 20, in a parasailing accident, Ron was paralyzed and has been in a wheelchair since, but that never held him back from hard work and supporting his family. He worked for Chore Time Brock, Milford, for 18 years. He owned and operated Pletcher’s Poultry Processing for 18 years and Industrial Motor and Tool for 15 years.
Ron enjoyed volunteering for MCC Meat Canner and helped sponsor SCIP IT (Spinal Cord Injury Support Group) and reading. He will be missed by his family, including his special helper, Calystah. Anytime anyone needed help, Ron was there to do whatever he could.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 & 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, all at Salem Mennonite Church, 23984 CR 46, New Paris, where the service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017. Pastor Paul Newcomer, Pastor Luke Hoover, Pastor Mike Overpeck and Pastor Dewayne Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

Plett, Kim R. Ediger, 97, of Inman, McPherson Co., KS died November 29, 2017 at Pleasant View Home, Inman, KS. She was born April 16, 1920 at Inman, KS to Gerhard P. and Katie Regehr (Pauls) Ediger. On November 10, 1946 at Bethel Mennonite Church, Inman, KS she was married to Jacob A. Plett, who was born March 29, 1919 and died July 6, 2004.
Surviving are children, Margaret Ann Swanner; Janice Classen; and Gary Plett; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Hilda Schierling; Kathryn Becker; Mary Barg; and George Ediger.

Poindexter, Gordon Wallace, Jr., 91, of Waynesboro, VA died December 13, 2017 at the same place. He was born September 14, 1926 at Richmond, VA to Gordon Wallace and Mary Morse (Boyd) Poindexter. On April 9, 1983 he was married to Kathy Frey, who was born January 20, 1952 and survives.
Surviving are children, Sarah Boyd Poindexter Harmer (James); Gordon W. Poindexter, III; and Virginia M. Poindexter (daughter-in-law); and two grandchildren.
A brother, James Edward Poindexter, preceded him in death.

Pollman, Ruth Katherine Kleinsasser, 87, of Freeman,Hutchinson Co., SD died September 30, 2017 at the same place.
She was born January 30, 1920 at Freeman to John P. and Katherine (Tieszen) Kleinsasser. John was born February 22, 1897 and died May 14, 1984. Katherine was born January 17, 1899 and died July 10, 1937.
On March 26, 1950 at Freeman she was married.
Surviving is a sister, Marian (Edgar Towne).
Her siblings, Alice Pearl (Peter A.) Hofer; Calvin (Irene) Kleinsasser; Agnes Kleinsasser; and Katherin Kleinsasser preceded her in death.

Ponce, Teofilo B., 87, of Del Rio, TX died October 9, 2017 at Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN from leukemia. He was born February 6, 1930 at Del Rio to Manuel and Maria Elena (Bernal) Ponce. On April 30, 1949 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL he was married to Mary I. Leon, who died February 6, 1991.
Surviving are children, Leticia (Roy) Ponce Rhodes, Goshen, IN; Manuel T. Ponce, Shipshewana, IN; Armando (Linda) Ponce, Goshen, IN; Diana Ponce Faux, Arcadia, IN; and Christina Ponce (Wilbur) Miller, Ann Arbor, Michigan; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and six siblings.
One great-granddaughter and seven siblings preceded him in death.
In 1951, Teofilo became a member of the Second Mennonite Church in Chicago. During his years of ministry, he had a profound love for leading children, young people, and families to the Lord. He and his wife Mary worked tirelessly within the Migrants camps in Michigan and Indiana, worshiping and ministering to them.
He began the church at Bethany Christian High School, and then started the Iglesia Menonita Del Buen Pastor in Goshen, Indiana. He also planted Mennonite Spanish-speaking churches in Kalamazoo, Michigan and in Marion, Indiana. Teofilo often shared his many stories about his relationship with the Mennonite family, especially with the many Goshen College students who devoted their time to teach Sunday school and play their musical instruments at Iglesia Menonita Del Buen Pastor.

Preheim, Lonnie Jon, 78, of Freeman, SD died August 24, 2017 at the same place. He was born July 16, 1939 at Freeman, SD to John J. and Martha (Albrecht) Preheim. On June 17, 1959 at Freeman he was married to Dorothy Miller, who survives.
Surviving are children, Lonna & Emad Beshai and Sheila & Sam McCrahan; three grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Della Preheim and Audrey Waltner preceded him in death.
